Found Evil: Egregores and Underpants

http://www.msn.com/

One was browsing the Internet and found this curious bit of quandary at the bottom of MSN today. One imagines that it plants the image "A Tasty New Animated Treat" with what appears to be a Fat Bearded Dude in his Underpants. Not something that would readily jump to your mind when you think "Tasty New Animated Treat".

One has many resources at One's command to investigate this, but decided to check in with the Occult Departments of My Colorado Holdfast. My Witches, Warlocks, Necromancers and Soothsayers on retainer have been pretty quite of late, and One needs to keep them engaged, or they get to mischief. One reminds readers, that One pays these people to ward my Lair against Master Legend's Paint-by-the-Numbers Voodoo, or other superhero pacts with dark forces

(*Colorado Wiccans - you're number 1 resource for all your Occult Needs*)

So, a report appeared in my email just now with the findings from the various methods these assets will employ in efforts to serve Me. (Never say "Ouija Boards and Chicken Bones" - they hate that).

The consensus from the Local Witch Doctor, who they turned to for his expertise, was that this was an attempt to either create an Egregore, or to sustain one. These thought beasties have become quite more troublesome with the Internet, and they crop up from time to time. Mostly harmless, they do still cause ideas to leak into the real world, and manifestations of their nature evidence themselves. A more scientific understanding would be the presence and viability of Memes.

Of course, the question then becomes, Did Will Ferrell create this, or is Will Ferrell evidence of it's influence? And if Ferrell Didn't create it - then who did? And is this a manifestation of something Much Older, More Powerful, and perhaps thought forgotten

Further research for another time. Unless this becomes like "a thing". Then, One will have to put more effort into sussing it's agenda.
