Citizens Against Costumed Vigilantes

Greetings and Lamentations,

Villains have been fighting Real Life Super Heroes for at least 3 years, and while we strive, we have limited ability to reach a wider audience. We are absurd, to reflect the absurdity of people dressing up to play Real Life Super Heroes. It must be difficult to believe what you are being told by, say for example, a Megalomaniac in a Gold Helmet.

Recently however, another group has formed, independent of Villainy. Concerned citizens aware of the threat that Phoenix Jones represents. Seattle's good people have heard Phoenix Jones constantly berating the good hard working law enforcement forces as being "lazy" and "corrupt" and have formed a group to make the truth known. They are;

                         Citizens Against Costumed Vigilantes

You may find Villainy unpalatable. One doesn't judge. But you should be concerned about the real danger adults without the ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy pose. Especially when they carry weapons, wear masks, and inflict their individual perspectives of Justice on innocent citizens.

One IS selling  a perspective, and One is biased. One speaks only truth, and attempts to provide links to all the claims One makes. But One IS a Villain - how much can you really trust Me? But this group, "Citizens Against Costumed Vigilantes" - they are people just as You are. Family members trying to keep their streets safe. Please, if you have a moment and are so inclined, take the time, and participate. Read the posts, and become informed. Offer what you might know, or voice your opinions. Be heard, and help spread the word. Vigilantes are not now, nor have they ever been, a solution to the ills of society. We have real problems, and we need real solutions. Not Self Aggrandizing Street Performers, hustling a carny show for an audience.

  1. I've always maintained the police are a far better choice for the job of public safety than these spandex fetishists simply because there are at least methods of accountability for their actions.

  2. Jay042,

    Agree. Police are trained, have standards of professionalism and behavior, have review, have access to the best technologies and the brightest minds.

    We can all do Neighborhood Watch - the practice is ancient in the extreme and continues to this day, because it works. But - there's no personal fame involved, and superheroes undermine that important role (the Watch) by making it about them, and their selfish needs for American Idol type fame.

    Thank you for your post,
    -M.
