Colorado Wildfires 2012

My People, Subjects of the Colorado Holdfast, Attend My words;

The fires of this early season are devastating and harm us all, as a shared community. More, because we Are Coloradoans, we feel an obligation to help each other. We are a people of this Land, and this Land is harsh to those unprepared and unfortunate. Because we Are a people of this Land, we have a shared understanding of community and watching out for and protecting our neighbors. We help them in hard times, for the Land will not be so forgiving.

These Wildfires offer an opportunity for Coloradoans to once more assemble and shoulder our shared burden together. To help each other, as we may each one day require help. On the roads in Winter, on our streets, in our vast land from border to border, from Mountain Top, to endless plains;

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
("From Sea to shining Sea" - but That part, isn't our state. The Rest IS).
