Villains excepted, but of course.
So, today marks 13 years in the Out in the Open Villain business of my planned 15. The next year will be One's last year of putting forward new projects, and the last year more or less a victory lap. One may publish all the blog posts one last time before deleting them. Website will be shut down and accounts closed.
You have one last year Zuckerberg to end your ridiculous "real names policy" or lose my Metadata for-Ever. As IF Europe isn't going to eviscerate you with their privacy laws.
But before Then, One had been meaning to put a new video out. It's been awhile and One can think of a few ways to rant about the things that are topical. Maybe polish up VNS - the Villain News Show for another couple of shows.
And to this end, One labored mightily in the Lair - but alas to no avail. Everything Works (not sure about the backdrop length...) but everything else is in place. Would be nice to have a Malignoscope with a SUtech interface and a Teleprompter - but those can be added as One goes along. The Lair just got too hot to work in today. The suit One wears is mostly synthetic materials, which breath not at all.
One remembers a walker challenge years ago - same time of year, but One went to the low lands to walk along a river. The mountains are Nice - but the sun is closer here and quite intense. Oh, but the lowlands were even Hotter. Imagine if you will - One in a "Slipsuit" - a windbreaker, and a aerodynamic bicycle helmet, In my lairwear underneath. Now set the temperature to over a hundred degrees. Over Days and in Boots! And One Still won the challenge - but not without cost. Soaking bandages and goopy boots.
One will say no more.
One will have to make up for this shortcoming with a video on the sooner rather than later. There Were celebrations in the Lair this year - small but meaningful tributes paid by those in close employ. One tends to pay respect to associates at Ubermas and then accept tribute properly in the Accounting. Malignopalooza is more for the the staff to celebrate - well, essentially staying in my Evil graces.
Something soon and perhaps a little bit better than the usual videos. Might take a bit to capture the old magic ? One isn't sure - and isn't that exciting? One has No Idea - it's been so long. Can One still do it, and can One improve on previous work? Going to be interesting at least to Me to see if One can rise to the challenge.
