One is not nearly versed in Quantum Mechanics, and knows few things and that String Theory has certain problems with the Theory of General Relativity (think String theory for the very small, General Relativity for the very large). Brian Greene is a recognized Leading Proponent of String Theory, and if you wanted to take a look at some of his books on the subject, you may find links below. He writes not to scientists, but to people with scientific interests, and he shares the joy of discovery and passion in pursuit of knowledge with you, in everything he writes. His works WILL invigorate your brain, and open your eyes to wonders beyond your understanding (and Ones own).
