The Life of Lord Malignance...

Greetings and Lamentations, I AM Lord Malignance, and you WILL Crouch before me Now!(Villains excepted, of course)

Status updates for work going on in the Lair since One's return.

Above, the Prototype in Progress of the mighty Helm of Malignance. There's a nose missing, and discerning eyes will note, that whatever measurement and cut is made is slightly off (imprecise tools). Each variance moves through the rest of the structure altering it slightly from design. The next iteration will be superior however. The eyelet apertures are not designed yet, but the jaw (though unsprung at present) works. The under skin will be aluminum (One is looking at Faraday Cage applications - you would not believe what an arc can do to you if you wear a metal face), with brass (naturally) fittings screwed into place. It'll be awhile though before it's anywhere where One will be pleased. One also wants to experiment with transcranial electrical stimulation. If you wear a helmet, why not?

Minion Training goes apace, no great success or failure here. The Lair has been tested for Radon (which is the second highest cause of Lung Cancer after smoking) and the Lair results came in at 4 times recommended healthy levels. SO, Radon Abatement is going into the budget.

Still need to look into teleconferencing with the X-box Kinect too, as time allows.

Testing on GoogleTalk, and GoogleVoice and other technologies are ongoing. Malignomobile is back out of the Wintering garage, and as you may imagine, One is tearing up the roadways once more.

One has been selected for Jury Duty, which really is a cruel pantomime to play out every few years. You might imagine, One never passes jury selection. Sometimes, it's just the laugh that kills the deal. Sometimes it's "Opinions on lawfulness".

The Web Design Team has not followed up w/One this week, and One is allowing some time for courtesy. New Website with Logos and artwork on the horizon. Also, One has been looking at Headers for the blog, and a revamp of layout (it has loading issues) and content. Odd thing is, some things are oddly popular. Hall of Evil, and Evil Organizations seem to be crowd pleasers. One has to find new ways to cultivate resources.

New Lord Malignance Videos and pictures. Some of the pictures are looking a little dated (though One shows age quite well). Speaking of which, once the Radon is chased away, the exercising must begin - "going to hell" has taken on an all new comfort level.

A dozen or more really good books to read, in no specific order (just the ones next to this computer) In the Palaces of Memory, Intelligence and the Brain, The Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix (the Mister Sinister Origin), WIN the Key Principles to take your Business from Ordinary to Extraordinary, Limitless, Long for this World, and the latest Make Magazine. Movies - an associate suggested Spartacus: Blood and Sand and it has not disappointed. A stack of research notes, a handful of post it notes (racing mind means always keep paper and pen nearby), a few new software apps, and Earth Day next week.

The Garden should be started soon, and One is always an inattentive farmer, so the crops will all die anyway (it's a garden about the size of a car).

Starfest, home of Robocon is coming up soon, and there is a national organization having a conference on the West Coast in July One might wish to attend. Starfest can't really compare to the better conventions on the coasts, but it IS basically around the corner, and One can move around unnoticed which is pleasant. Bloomsday, and another chance to fight my way through Joyce. Some adventures and misadventures along the way and the next few months will be fun. A poor opportunity to fit in, but it can be diverting (see: wenchwear).

That's the short list of the Life of Lord Malignance. There will always be some derailment that will crop up - minions who end up in Mexico in the murder capital of the New World, and need their rats brought to them, etc.

Anyone have any ideas for adventures? Some scheme with travel involved...

-Lord Malignance

  1. Oh! And projects. One has projects (which is like work) piled up that must be attended to. One forgot to mention the less fun things One does.
