 Mask in Robbery

Marathon County detectives have released the image of the type of mask used during the robbery at Wendy's in Rib Mountain.

They say one of the suspects wore a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mask like the one pictured in this article.

The robbery happened early Monday morning. Employees reporting for work found two men inside the restaurant.

One had a handgun and the suspects duct taped the employees hands and ankles. They got away with an unknown amount of cash.

The man wearing the "Ninja Turtles" mask is described as about 5'10" with a stocky build. He was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and a dark t-shirt underneath.

The other man is described as 5'11" with a slender build. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask.

If you have any information, call the Marathon County Sheriff's Department at (715) 261-1200.

    1. So the man was not dressed as a superhero, but a TMNT. TMNTs are cartoon "heroes", not superheroes. I would expect One to get such important facts correct and not stoop to misleading titles to enhance ratings. This is a tactic of "corporate" villains, and as such is far beneath your stature.

I shall forgive you this slip.

NOW, however, should you have titled this, "Man Dressed As Real-Life Superhero Robs Wendy's With A Gun", you would be accurate. The mask DOES appear to be similar to those worn by some of the Pajama Parade.

    2. Silver Sentinel,

Your criticism of my Evil as being sloppy is accepted, with gratitude. One might point out that their categorization as a comic book type, is that of superhero - there are so few other kinds. Are they mystery solving? Crime Dramas? They fall into the genre and are sold in that same milieu of 4 Color, Mask Wearing, Defenders of the Right. They even appear in the department store toy aisles next to other superheroic staples, indistinguishable to the marketplace.

Keep up the Good (Curses! Foiled again) work,

What is wrong with that post?! Everytime One comes to this page it screams at me!!!! It's Evil.
