There's a huuuuge difference between manchildren and men who can still draw on childlike happiness/cynical observations.
ReplyDeleteA man who is in touch with his inner playful nature makes highly viral (and marketable) comics about everyday annoyances... or any number of other outlets that turn annoyances into something kind of awesome. Manchildren will just whine and bewail their rotten luck.
The Oatmeal lives in Jet City. Still crossing my fingers that I'll bump into him sometime.

Well said. One hopes you do meet him, as it would be to both your benefits. He seems to be a man about town, and there's every good chance you'll see him at an event of shared interest, or just going about your lives. Not sure how large Jet City IS though, so this might be Mid-Western preconceptions of city sizes...
