Studies of Villain Cosplay - Done Right

Not the Christopher Nolan "Dark Knight" Joker portrayed by the late Heath Ledger. That Joker is a dangerous oddball, a watered down villain for a simpler audience. No, this is more the Cesar Romero/Jack Nicholson Joker - closer to the early Joker in comics. A malevolent force of Evil. Look at that Face! Chills. Here is a Joker that's smiling on the outside, but absolutely vicious hatred on the inside. Remember Pennywise? Evil. You knew it when you saw it. Not "eccentric" and playful - but powerful and sinister. A Force.

An attractive Poison Ivy with ivy in her hair. Fans miss that. The Gloves One isn't sure about, but they're green, and she IS very attractive. No, in this case, we have the Jim Carey Riddler, which One actually despises with a cold passion. But for all that, at least he's true to that character. The "Big Props" Riddler is One's favorite. Showmanship! This Riddler looks creepy, and she looks creeped out.

A much better Riddler. Sophisticated, over the top much less, Intelligent, and Evil. You just KNOW looking at this characterization that there is something going on - something that you will Remember.

In all these pictures, there is a DC Licensed and Owned Character representation on display - lovingly. And they ARE impressive in their portrayal and attention to detail and performance. More though, is the Evil they project. The confidence, the intelligence, and the freedom of being a Villain.

Refreshing.
