Villaindependence Day Potluck: Carrot Raisin Salad

Happy Villaindependence Day!

Today, a day when Villains celebrate Villainy in America, there is often the need to celebrate with others, and as this is the Fourth of July celebrating American Independence also, it becomes an act of courtesy that while visiting, you should bring a food dish. It is hellishly warm outside the Lair today, and the sun is face-meltingly oppressive, and so barbecue for Oneself is not an option. There is however Salad.

One fancies a salad known as "Carrot Raisin Salad" and includes One's technique below. It turns out, this recipe is completely simplistic, and appears to be unknown when compared to others found here. Still, it's what One can do, and it isn't too bad. And it's very refreshing on a hot day.

Yes, if you only know a few things about Lord Malignance, you may believe that One is a terrible, terrible, Scientist, knows little to nothing about computers, software, or the Internet, and cannot cook or prepare food in any manner.

First, assemble the components; Carrots (not the fancy carrots, no these might be better considered "Horse Carrots" - not fit for human consumption. They build character. A blood-drinking & flesh-shredding grater (One didn't actually use the peeler), some Raisins and some Mayonnaise, and a scrubbing brush for the carrots.

Wash and scrub the carrots. Is it potatoes that have nutrients in the skin? One isn't sure if it applies to carrots, so scrubbed them anyway. And they were dirty.

5 Carrots produced an adequate quantity of carrot pulp. And no blood! (It's the fear of the implement you see). Carrot shreds were everywhere as a matter of fact. Easy to clean.

A heap of raisins. There is no SCIENCE to this. You must "fake it".

Add the mayonnaise as binding agent until there is a consistency to the amalgamation. Lump it together and cover with preservative plastic film.

Place in the refrigerator for at least an hour for the conglomeration to achieve a softening and melding of flavors. Best to eat in small amounts - it's tasty, but is probably not terribly good for you. It's a lot of carrots.
